A story of one of the children’s hospitals in the East of the country
Every time I hear or read it, it takes my breath away... "Almost 10 months of full-scale war have already passed... Nevertheless, February 24, 2022 has imprinted in the souls of the Ukrainians forever!
Each of us remembers this day down to the last detail. At the time, there were 148 small patients and 18 their mothers in the Sumy Children's Hospital. Unawareness of reality, anxiety, fear for children... It was necessary to get together, coordinate actions and necessary for everyone to work on their own front for approaching our common Victory!
And the team worked from the first day of the invasion providing help to everyone who needed it.
The city of Sumy faced quite a blow: battles, shelling, airstrikes... During constant air raids, our little patients had to be treated in a shelter, where the beds and all the blankets found in the facility were placed. The month of February... The cold tormented... Both indoors and in the souls...
Thinking back to those first weeks of the war, one is feeling boundless gratitude to the volunteers and benefactors who provided the children's hospital with medicines, dressings, food and other things we needed.
We would also like to thank the charitable foundation "Fortechnyi" for its support and for the electric heaters. By joint efforts, we protect the most valuable wealth - the life and health of our children. We continue working and believing in our common Victory!"
Only this way and not in any other way!
Together we are a power.
